Planet Groovia
Planet Groovia is a galactic band formed by Groove Man also known as the Love Groove
Festival mascot.
WE'RE SOCIAL!

The band comes from Amoria, a planet overtaken by creatures called Delcons. Now, they’re on a mission across the Ecliptic Galaxy to unite all beings through music and love. Their goal? Find a new home that’s written in ancient Amorian scriptures. A planet with a purple sky they’ve nicknamed Groovia, where love and music will be the foundation of life.
In partnership with Love Groove Festival and United Masters, Planet Groovia’s debut single
“City Love” drops Friday, July 25, 2025.
A powerhouse collective of vibrant personalities and musical mastery:

🎸 Groove Man ❤️
Guitarist & Lead Singer
The fearless frontman with an endless sense of optimism. Groove Man is a natural leader — fun, goofy, and always reminding the crew not to take life too seriously… even when the mission feels impossible.

🪘 Cheddar 💛
Percussionist & Background Vocals
A realist with a lover’s heart. Cheddar’s all about the rhythm, the grind, and the ancient sounds of her ancestors. She’s sharp, analytical, and never lets anyone forget love and survival go hand in hand.

🎹 Skye 💙
Pianist, Trumpeter, Saxophonist (and Keytar Enthusiast)
The genius of the group — literally. Skye holds the highest IQ on Amoria and is a master of both
keys and brass. But deep down, she’s all about the keytar — because saving the galaxy should
always come with a little style.

🥁 Big Foot 🤎
Drummer & Rapper
The wild card. Big Foot speaks in pure, joyful gibberish but somehow, everyone always gets the message. They bring raw energy, fearless rhythm, and remind the band to stay wild, weird, and full of groove.

🎸 Funky 💜
Bassist & Background Vocals
An old-school Amorian with a soul full of groove. Funky lives for deep basslines, classic funk, and never misses a chance to drop his signature line: “That’s funky!”
The Groove Band isn’t just a band — they’re a movement. And Earth? They’re just getting started.
John Tyler
John Tyler is a 24-year-old powerhouse—an Emmy Award-winning film composer, visionary artist, and dynamic music and event producer who is reshaping the creative landscape. As the founder of the groundbreaking Love Groove Festival and Love Groove Entertainment, John has established himself as a leading force in the industry. With a rich discography featuring one acclaimed album and four mixtapes, he’s currently gearing up to captivate audiences with his revolutionary Audiovision show, “If I Could Weep, It Would Hail”, set to launch alongside a companion book series in the fall of 2024.
Recognized as Baltimore’s “Game Changer” in music and curation by Baltimore Magazine and the Black Arts District, John’s influence reaches far and wide. His talents have been celebrated in NUNAR Mag, Family First Mag, BmoreArt, and Charm TV. His compositions have scored commercials for top brands like the Orioles, Under Armour, and Visit Baltimore, showcasing his extraordinary versatility. In May 2023, John took his artistry to new heights with the Baltimore Orioles, where he performed pre-game shows, curated National Anthem performers, and created a season-long playlist spotlighting Baltimore artists.
In a sweet twist, John partnered with the iconic Charmery to create an ice cream flavor inspired by his fan favorite single “Sugar & Spice,” which became the Charmery’s fourth best-seller of 2023. In June 2024, John’s star soared even higher when he earned an Emmy for his composition in the “You Can’t Clip These Wings” Baltimore Orioles commercial.
John’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2017, while still in high school, when he founded the Love Groove Festival. This event, dedicated to uplifting young artists aged 16-30, has grown into a major cultural institution, featuring educational initiatives and securing sponsorships from T. Rowe Price, Johns Hopkins, PNC Bank, and the Mellon Foundation. The festival has supported over 500 emerging artists, partnered with 100 small businesses, and collaborated with 14 schools, cementing John’s role as a champion for Baltimore’s creative community.
Show
Expanding on this success, John launched Love Groove Entertainment, a full-service event planning powerhouse. The company has curated major festivals, including the Nike & Orioles Block Party, PNC Bank Black History Month Showcase, Juneteenth Rhythm Libération Festival, and Baltimore by Baltimore Festival. Love Groove Entertainment also provides live band services for touring artists, private events, and offers a roster of performing artists, filmmakers, and visual artists for diverse occasions, from festivals to conferences.
Looking ahead, John Tyler is setting his sights on touring the world, scoring major films, expanding his collaborative network, mentoring the next generation of creatives, and ultimately achieving the coveted EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). With his relentless drive and unparalleled talent, John Tyler is not just a star—he’s a trailblazer, lighting the way for Baltimore’s creative future and beyond.
